Individual Customer Technology (IC Tech) is an organization providing information technology solutions to Canada Life. In IC Tech, the Customer is at the centre of what we do.

Our IC Tech professionals make a significant contribution to the companies' business goals through the effective delivery of value-added services. These services include setting technology direction, project management, analysis, system architecture, software development and the provision of operational support services for our Individual Customer business unit.


What you will do:

  • Design, develop and test software to specifications.
  • Support production and ad hoc requests.
  • Implement and support changes to production applications and databases.
  • Install software as required.
  • Run application scripts and other operational support tasks.
  • Analyze problems and provide solutions.
  • What you will bring

  • A degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of 2 years experience in a software developer role
  • Experience with programming (e.g. EngageOne, Microfocus COBOL, JSP, Javascript, Web services, OOREXX, PowerShell, Control-M, GIT, Eclipse IDE, BitBucket, C#, VB.Net, COBOL/CICS/DB2, PL/SQL, SQL Server).
  • Knowledge of insurance and Ingenium application an asset.
  • Initiative with the ability to easily adapt to change.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of software design, methodologies and documentation standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with a quality focus.

    The base salary for this position is between  $53, $80,200.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
