The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) offers a unique opportunity to join an elite team of law enforcement professionals who safeguard the nation's borders, enforce customs laws, and facilitate legitimate trade and travel.

As a CBPO, you will be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws at various ports of entry across the country. Your duties may include:

• Inspecting individuals and conveyances for contraband
• Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States
• Promoting compliance with regulations through education outreach programs

You will also have opportunities to work in diverse environments ranging from busy airports to rural border stations.

To qualify as a CBPO, you must meet one or more of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent four-year course study leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR
  (three years full-time general work experience demonstrating ability to deal with people)
