• Detect, question, and deter individuals suspected of violating immigration laws.
• Prevent and apprehend aliens at or near international boundaries.

The typical tasks involve patrolling borders using various government assets like vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft for accomplishing mission duties including farm checks building checks traffic checks city patrols transportation checks etc.
