Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws by maintaining surveillance, inspecting documents, and gathering information through observation.
- Preventing illegal entry into the United States by intercepting smugglers at or near the border using covert positions to track down suspects.

- Annual Base Salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade level with opportunities for career advancement.
- Fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay under the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014.
