*About the Role*
We’re looking for a *skilled Electrical Estimator* with a strong background in *medium voltage electrical projects*. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate, timely estimates; analyzing drawings and specifications; and collaborating with purchasing and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Prepare detailed labor and material cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects.
* Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, RFPs, and other project documents.
* Generate accurate take-offs, bills of material, and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotes.
* Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project timelines and goals.
* Support the bidding process by developing proposals and presenting estimates.
* Stay current on industry trends, materials, codes, and best practices.
* Coordinate with purchasing to provide accurate project data.
* Ensure clear, well-documented, and organized estimating records.
* Participate in feasibility studies and provide value-engineering input when needed.
* Participate in Job-walks and Pre-Bid conferences.
*Qualifications*
* Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrical estimator (medium voltage preferred).
* Proficiency in *Accubid* or *ConEst* estimating software.
* Strong understanding of electrical design, engineering principles, and construction management practices.
* Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and specifications.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
* Field/construction site experience is a plus.
