Job Description:
A Customs and Border Protection Officer plays a vital role in safeguarding America's borders, enforcing customs laws, and facilitating legitimate trade and travel. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of one (1) year of specialized full-time work experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes performing physical inspections of people, documents or goods for criminal activity, fraud,
- Evaluating facts while applying Federal laws and regulations.
- Making determinations in compliance with laws that may lead to arrests or fines based on findings;
- a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement OR one (1) full year of graduate-level education; or a combination of experience AND graduate-level education
The officer must also be eligible for Top Secret clearance due to their involvement in operations related directly impacting national security as an officer within Customs Enforcement Division Section HMII who is individually accountable through assigned programs codes KE,(CY& P).
