This position involves working with a highly trained team of professionals to safeguard the nation’s borders, prevent illicit activities and enhance economic prosperity.

• You will be responsible for detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.

A typical assignment includes preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations. You must interpret physical evidence such as tracks, marks, etc., perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks – making arrests in cases where you are required to do so after completing training.

• A bachelor’s degree in any field leading to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR one year of general work experience demonstrating your ability take charge make sound decisions maintain composure under stress learn regulations methods techniques through classroom instruction on-the-job learning gather concise information through questions observation document examination records;
