A Day in the Life of a Customs and Border Protection Officer
- Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws to protect against illicit activity;
- Facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing smuggling operations;
- Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances to ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
Skills You'll Need for Success , including:

- Detaining suspected violators using proper law enforcement methods;
n Demonstrated expertise (1 year) equivalent to at least GS-7 or higher grade level; Experience utilizing intelligence techniques & behavior analysis (a).
