Border Patrol Agent Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Border Patrol Agent to join our team. As a BPA, you will play a critical role in securing the nation's borders, enforcing immigration laws, and protecting American communities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
- Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
You must have prior experience as a law enforcement officer or military police unit member for this position.
If you have previous LEO experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level with one year of specialized experience performing duties such as: using intelligence information to track illegal operations; leading investigations; utilizing surveillance equipment;
As an added incentive, newly appointed agents may be eligible for up to $40,000 in retention incentives distributed over their first four years. ,
