You may qualify for this position if you have current or prior law enforcement experience, such as:
- Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws.
Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating customs laws. - Pursuing aliens at the border who are attempting to smuggle goods into the country illegally.
The primary responsibility of a Border Patrol Agent is to enforce all applicable federal, state, local, and tribal laws on U.S. border areas.
Policemen might work in either rural or urban settings depending upon where their offices were located across various states within which they had operational jurisdiction over several national parks with forests that sometimes stretch hundreds miles long beyond mountains.
