Border Patrol Agent (BPA) Role Overview

The Border Patrol Agent is a critical law enforcement position that plays a key role in safeguarding national security by protecting the country's borders.

• Serve as a federal agent responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agricultural laws along U.S. border areas;


• Maintain situational awareness of potential threats to national security;


• Capture and detain individuals who pose a threat to public safety;


• Pursue violators in high-speed vehicle chases when necessary;

As part of this job, you will be required to work outdoors under various environmental conditions including extreme temperatures. If successful you may receive additional training on skills such as firearms proficiency, first aid, CPR/AED certification etc.
