About
As a key member of the Federal Law Enforcement team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding America's borders and protecting its citizens. Your expertise will be instrumental in enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws to ensure compliance with regulations.
The job entails facilitating legitimate trade and travel while preventing illicit activity such as smuggling of drugs and other contraband. You will conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances, determining admissibility for entry into the United States.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Perform physical inspections to detect criminal activity
- Evaluate facts using observational techniques
- Review documentation to make determinations in compliance with laws
You must have successfully completed three years full-time general work experience demonstrating ability to meet people or possess one of the following: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of four-year study leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Combination of education/General Work Experience satisfying grade level requirements (GS-5). For GS-7 grade level you can also use experience equivalent to lower grade performing specialized tasks such as inspecting documents/cargo/bags for fraud/smuggling activities OR complete 1 year graduate-level education/or hold Superior Academic Achievement based on GPA/honors membership.
