Safeguarding the nation's borders requires highly skilled and dedicated professionals who are committed to upholding the law and protecting American citizens. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be part of an elite team that strives to prevent illegal entry into the country, detect and apprehend individuals who attempt to breach our borders, and enforce customs regulations.

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws


• Inspectng documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations


• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions


• Interpreting and following tracks, marks, other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband
