Overview:
The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) is hiring entry-level Border Patrol Agents to fill full-time positions in federal law enforcement. This is a career ladder position with opportunities for advancement and promotions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws
- Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the border
- Maintain surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations
- Analyze physical evidence, such as tracks and marks, to determine illegal entry points
