Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of all phases of a project or group of projects during this 6-month full-time assignment. This includes strategic planning, directing, supervising, and controlling all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions related to contractual activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the execution and planning of Maintenance and Turnaround (M&T) projects/programs that are crucial to the company's objectives, potentially requiring travel or work from client sites.
Serve as the Safety Leader for projects, championing the "CAM Core" culture and safety standards.
Oversee all aspects of M&T projects, including scope definition, scheduling, and managing engineering procurement budgets.
Develop a solid foundation for the project by gaining a thorough understanding of client requirements, budget, schedule, and contractual terms.
Manage resources effectively to ensure cost, schedule, and quality targets are met.
Make strategic, responsible decisions to ensure projects/programs meet company objectives while adhering to financial and policy guidelines.
Lead and manage client and internal change, ensuring successful outcomes for both the client and CAM.
Communicate project status regularly, including cost, schedule, scope, and quality, in a clear and client-focused manner.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders at all levels, contributing to presentations and key communications to the client's management team.
Drive operational excellence by implementing work instructions and adhering to CAM's standard operating procedures.
Collaborate on expanding our client portfolio and support Business Development efforts.
Participate proactively in project reviews and audits.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in managing and leading turnaround projects, with experience overseeing teams of 80 to 400 skilled craft workers.
A recognized degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline, or specialized coursework in construction management, combined with extensive hands-on experience that illustrates a comprehensive understanding of the required knowledge areas. Experience in Field Services, EPC, or Major Projects is a valuable asset.
A minimum of 15 years of experience managing complex heavy industrial projects, with a focus on the power, oil & gas, and petrochemical industries.
Deep knowledge of all phases of construction, including field activities, field engineering disciplines, construction technologies, and project management.
Proficient in applying applicable CAM Standards, procedures, and industry best practices to ensure project success and regulatory adherence.
