Position Description:

We are seeking high performing Data Analysts with strong analytical, problem solving, and data engineering mindsets to support complex enterprise data initiatives. This role requires hands on expertise in Databricks, SQL, and Azure data services. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in large scale data environments, running pipelines, and troubleshooting issues. They should also be able to deliver structured recommendations for continuous improvement and demonstrate a strong developer mindset.


Your future duties and responsibilities:


• Ability to Rationalizing requirements, estimating effort, identifying data issues, and pushing back when necessary.
• Ability to take ownership of deliverables / tasks end‑to‑end.
• Lead and mentor a group of intermediate analysts.
• Decompose requirements, estimate effort, and assign tasks.
• Provide technical direction and best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to validate approach and ensure project alignment.
• Work with complex transactional data environments.
• Recommend pipeline optimization, automation, and data quality improvements.
• Experience working with highly complex transactional datasets.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments is an asset.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role:


• 4–6+ years as a Data Analyst with experience driving large, complex initiatives
• SQL: Strong hands‑on experience with complex queries
• Databricks: Building, orchestrating, and troubleshooting pipelines
• Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse
• Python (Pandas, PySpark) for ETL and data wrangling
• Medallion Architecture understanding
• Data Mapping, Data Lineage, Metadata Management
• Experience producing SRS Documentation, Dataflows, and Lineage diagrams
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Ability to diagnose data issues, identify root causes, and build wrappers/utilities to document and remediate
Nice‑to‑Have
• Experience with Informatica.
• AML or compliance data exposure.
• Experience with enterprise‑scale data governance framework.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000.00–$120, This role is an existing vacancy.
