Principal Engineer — Real-Time Data Systems
- Toronto, Ontario, Canada
- Toronto, Ontario, Canada
About
This is a remote position.
We're building the next-generation AI-driven platform that powers personalization, growth, and automation at global scale. Our technology sits at the crossroads of two seismic shifts in modern computing: agentic AI and high-performance cloud data infrastructure. Think of it as the intelligence layer that turns massive streams of user behavior into real-time insight and action.
Our customers range from top consumer brands to cutting‑edge fintech and SaaS companies; all using our technology to deliver faster, smarter, more personalized experiences. We believe in speed without drama, autonomy without ego, and impact without bureaucracy.
The Role
We're searching for a Principal Engineer to shape and scale our real-time data streaming systems — the backbone powering billions of in-the-moment decisions across our platform. You'll architect and improve services that process millions of events per second with single‑digit millisecond latency, touching almost every part of our data plane.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role on a small team tackling challenges few companies face: ultra‑low‑latency ingestion, distributed caching, deduplication at scale, and fault‑tolerant event computation. You'll be the type of engineer who gets excited by raw throughput charts, but even more excited when they translate into better customer outcomes.
