Ray-Mont Logistics is currently seeking a permanent full time Forklift Operator to join its vibrant team. The purpose of the Forklift Operator is to efficiently and safely handling the reception, inventory, and movement of various products using both small and large forklifts/grapples.

Your Work Schedule :

  • Day Shift : 6AM to 6PM
  • Night Shift : 6PM to 6AM

* On a rotating pattern, employees work 4 days on and 4 days off

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the opening of railcar hoppers using the forklift.
  • Operate small and large forklifts or grapples to handle incoming and outgoing forestry and agricultural products daily (approximately 70% of the job)
  • Receive and verify the accuracy of shipments and accurate inventory records
  • Unload and transship palletized or ground-loaded goods, ensuring goods are properly secured and placed
  • Safely transport materials to stack and store products in designated areas
  • Inspect forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition
  • Always follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Assist with other general tasks and duties as assigned
  • Prep container piles for shipping

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 to 3 years of experience driving a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting
  • Consciousness of space and ability to operate the forklift in tight space
  • Valid forklift certification (an asset)
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (less than 100 pounds) and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Required skills include autonomy, meticulousness, organization and speed of execution
  • Ability to follow safety regulations and procedures
