About this Opportunity
In the Performance Lead role, you'll go beyond managing backlogs—you'll define and evolve our performance proposition , ensuring it supports our ambition for a high-performance culture . You'll shape strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver improvements that make performance management simpler, fairer, and more impactful.
What the role involves
Set the strategic direction for our performance proposition, ensuring alignment with culture, values, and future skills.
Refine and evolve the colleague experience , making performance conversations meaningful and enabling clarity on what great looks like.
Drive innovation in performance practices—leveraging technology where it adds value, but focusing on simplicity and impact.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to embed performance principles across the organisation and influence cultural change.
Lead delivery of improvements through agile methods, managing backlogs and prioritisation where needed, but always with a strategic lens.
Leading people change and change management – run and change in conjunction with each other.
Measure impact and outcomes , using data to inform decisions and demonstrate benefits.
Cross-team collaboration – working across multiple Centres of Expertise to align performance with broader talent, skills, and learning propositions.
Develop capability within your team and across the business, mentoring others and building confidence in performance leadership.

What you'll need
Proven ability to shape and deliver strategic HR propositions , ideally in performance management or related areas.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills , with experience engaging senior leaders.
Understanding of agile methodologies and ability to apply them pragmatically to deliver change.
Experience in HR technology and process improvement , with a focus on colleague experience.
Ability to create a high-performing team environment , inspiring delivery and building trust.
And any experience of these would be really useful
Leading cultural or behavioural change initiatives.
HR practitioner experience in performance or talent management.
Familiarity with performance, skills, and learning technologies.
