Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Assembler - General to join our team in Surrey, BC. This role will report to the Production Manager and will be required to perform various duties in assembling and testing electrical components for our innovative accessibility products. Your work will directly contribute to the production of high-quality wheelchair lifts, stairlifts, elevators, and other essential equipment.

 This is a 100% on-site position

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical components and systems according to technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality checks of assembled components to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical assemblies as needed, addressing any issues or defects promptly.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Document assembly processes, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Assist with the development of new assembly techniques and contribute to process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Energetic, eager, tenacious
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical assembly or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing are advantageous.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical assembly tools and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical components and circuitry.
  • Ability to perform detailed quality inspections and tests.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have the ability to perform all tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, managers, other stakeholders.
  • Should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. 
  • The employee is required to walk throughout facility. 
  • Employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally and lift and/or move up to pounds with assistance of another person. Assistance is available for weights above persons lifting capabilities.
