Translational Research in Oncology (TRIO) is a global academic clinical research organization dedicated to advancing translational cancer research in the clinical trial setting. Our passionate team is committed to providing cancer treatments of the future to the world of today.
TRIO is looking for two Accounting Assistants to join our Finance team in the Edmonton office. This position is a full-time, hourly position for the months of May – August 2026 that is subject to the approval of the Venture for Canada Grant.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness, matches purchase orders to invoices
  • Assist with processing, code, total, batch, enter, verify and reconcile accounts payable invoices and shipping waybills
  • Assist with preparing A/P cheques for sending out (attaching remittance notices, stuffing envelopes, etc.)
  • Assist with the reconciliation of employee expense reports and investigational site expenses
  • Post journal entries and reconcile payable and expense accounts
  • Data entry – pass through costs associated with Sponsor billing, direct expenses, updating FTE reports, and administrative tasks related to change order
  • Greenphire configuration support and updating amendments
  • Filing and other administrative duties as assigned for the reporting team
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance Program at a Post Secondary Institution
  • 1-year office experience would be an asset
  • Solid data entry skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Effective organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and prioritize work effectively
What TRIO Can Offer You:
  • $18.00 per hour
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Temporary Summer Work Term
