About
We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy warehouse in Richmond, Virginia. In this dynamic role, you will be directly responsible for fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your daily tasks will include locating specific items in the warehouse, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. This position is critical to our Logistics operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment. We are looking for energetic individuals who are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a high standard of work. You will work within a team-oriented environment, contributing to the overall success of our distribution efforts. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from inventory based on order requirements.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Stage completed orders for loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming inventory as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the picking and packing areas.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety policies and procedures.
- Use required PPE, including gloves and safety glasses, as instructed.
- Contribute to meeting daily production targets within the Logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity for repetitive motion and manual dexterity.
- Ability to perform Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse Safety practices.
- Familiarity with basic Logistics concepts is a plus.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.
- Willingness to follow directions and use designated PPE.
