We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our advanced facility in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, ensuring a safe and efficient logistics environment. Your technical expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime and supporting the seamless flow of goods through our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, sorters, forklifts, and other machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse management and operations teams to address technical challenges and improve workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA requirements, and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Support the overall logistics and operational efficiency of the warehouse through reliable equipment performance.
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures is essential.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
