About
Our Dallas, Texas distribution center is seeking an organized and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. This pivotal role ensures the accurate and timely processing of all incoming shipments, which is fundamental to our supply chain operations. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying deliveries, inspecting products, and meticulously updating our inventory systems. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is paramount. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct usage of PPE, is mandatory. While the primary focus is administrative, some lifting and handling of goods may be required. Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
- Identify and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies promptly.
- Enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with precision.
- Prepare received inventory for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a tidy and organized receiving dock area.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve receiving-related issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a receiving or inventory control role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Strong data entry skills and familiarity with WMS software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding and commitment to workplace safety.
