We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our Madison, Wisconsin facility. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring the smooth flow of goods into our warehouse. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accepting, inspecting, and logging all incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders and delivery documents. Your keen eye for detail and organizational skills are vital to our logistics operations. - Receiving incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Verifying received items against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately recording received inventory into our warehouse management system (WMS).
- Labeling and staging received goods for put-away.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicating any issues or discrepancies to supervisors or relevant departments.
All necessary PPE will be provided, and thorough safety training is mandatory. This position involves frequent lifting, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Experience in a receiving, shipping, or warehouse environment is highly valued. A basic understanding of inventory control and logistics procedures is beneficial.
