We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility. You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, picking and staging orders, and performing regular equipment checks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Attention to detail is paramount to maintain accurate inventory records and prevent damage to products. Your commitment to safety protocols and your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be key to your success.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Pick and stage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts, reporting any issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends if needed.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
