About
Our Atlanta, Georgia distribution center is looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our team. This role is vital for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and transport goods between different areas of the facility. Safety is our top priority, and we are seeking a reliable and experienced operator who understands and adheres to all safety regulations. This position offers a stable work environment and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic logistics team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily for safety and operational issues and report any defects.
- Ensure loads are secure and balanced before transport.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and put-aways.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety rules and regulations.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Follow all company procedures related to warehouse operations and forklift usage.
- Support general warehouse duties as needed.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of forklift Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform occasional moderate Lifting.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
