In this vital role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, moving inventory to and from storage locations, and assisting with inventory control. This position is key to the efficiency of our Logistics chain. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires significant manual labor, including frequent Lifting of items up to 60 pounds, and operating heavy equipment. Strict adherence to all Safety protocols and the consistent use of appropriate PPE are non-negotiable. Experience with various material handling equipment is a significant advantage. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Organize warehouse space to optimize storage and workflow.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE .
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of Logistics operations.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and physical checks.
- Assist with packing and staging of outgoing shipments.
- Perform tasks involving heavy Lifting and repetitive motion.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and strenuous physical tasks.
- Solid understanding of warehouse procedures and Logistics .
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and compliance.
- Willingness to wear and use all necessary PPE .
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
