About
We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our Boston, Massachusetts distribution center. This crucial role involves accurately selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment to customers. As a Picker/Packer, you will be at the heart of our logistics process, directly impacting order accuracy and customer satisfaction. You will work in a busy warehouse environment, handling various products and ensuring they are picked and packed efficiently and safely. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Securely pack items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order details against packed items for complete accuracy.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other lifting equipment as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace, including packing stations.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking when necessary.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and speed of the shipping process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and item descriptions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Ability to handle Lifting of items up to 45 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Dedication to safety and the consistent use of PPE.
