We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our team in Provo, Utah. This position is critical for managing the flow of materials within our warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining a safe work environment. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and organizing inventory. This role is integral to our overall logistics success, demanding diligence and a strong commitment to Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled properly.
- Transport materials to and from various areas within the facility.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Properly use and maintain all assigned PPE.
- Follow all logistics procedures for efficient material movement.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy Lifting (up to 55 lbs) and prolonged standing.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Strong understanding of Safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
- Must wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety vests.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
