About
We are hiring a dedicated Warehouse Associate for our busy facility in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, involving the handling, organizing, and movement of goods throughout the warehouse. You will be involved in various aspects of warehouse management, from receiving and put-away to order fulfillment and dispatch. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Sort, label, and store merchandise in designated locations.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and use of PPE.
- Load and unload trucks for outgoing and incoming shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents and ensure order accuracy.
- Contribute to team efforts and support colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is advantageous.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all procedures.
- Proficiency in using handheld scanners and warehouse equipment.
- Must wear required PPE at all times.
