Seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our busy distribution center in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve specified items from warehouse inventory using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify product information (SKU, quantity) against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Safely operate manual and powered equipment, such as pallet jacks and order pickers, if trained.
- Package selected items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies or stock issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly utilize all required PPE while performing duties.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, including stocking and shipping preparation, as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and product labels accurately.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail to minimize picking errors.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
