Software Engineer - Embedded 9/80 schedule Must be a US Citizen Must have a Clearance Agile SW process, On site, Linux, VxWorks, C++, GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, Electronic Warfare
Description Embedded Software Engineer to support our Software and Digital Technologies department. As a member of the SW&DT department you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside systems, firmware, and hardware engineers to make our technologies a reality.
Responsibilities: • Support the planning, development, and testing of a surface Navy electronic warfare system. • Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead. • Use software development and collaboration tools like VS code, Jenkins, JIRA, BitBucket/GIT, Nexus, and Confluence. • Collaborate with systems engineers to support system level integration testing. • Implement software changes in C++ to port existing software to new hardware. • Unit test software changes with system hardware.
Basic Qualifications for Software Engineer: • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience • Experience with C++ - 5 years. • Experience working on radio frequency systems • Experience with digital signal processing • Experience working with real-time embedded systems using VxWorks operating system • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills • Experience conducting unit testing with hardware in the loop • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen • Must hold an active SECRET clearance
Preferred Qualifications for Software Engineer: • Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers. • Prior experience with Electronic Warfare system software development • Experience with Electronic Warfare techniques and signal processing
