Role Overview
seeking an experienced
Business Analyst with a strong software development background
to support large-scale operational and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the
utility or energy sector
and will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
This role supports
Operations Management Systems
within the STO Computer Operations department and involves both business analysis and technical oversight throughout the full system development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Serve as a
technical Subject Matter Expert (SME)
for major application development and vendor implementation projects Collaborate with business and technical teams on:
Requirements gathering and analysis System design and solution planning Development, testing, and quality assurance Training, implementation, and post-production support
Support vendor system implementations from initiation through go-live and ongoing maintenance Ensure adherence to
change management processes
to maintain system availability and reliability Provide day-to-day support for existing applications, including issue analysis and resolution Promote best practices in application development and system support Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and procedures Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability Required Qualifications Strong experience as a
Business Analyst with prior hands-on software development background Prior experience in the
utility or energy sector
(mandatory) Solid understanding of SDLC, system integrations, and vendor-managed solutions Experience working in hybrid environments with onsite collaboration Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team Additional Information Hybrid role requiring
4 days onsite per week Local NYC-area candidates strongly preferred Long-term contract with potential extensions
