Opportunity
Northramp is seeking multiple DevOps Engineers to own and continuously improve the delivery pipelines, platforms, and automation that enable secure, reliable software delivery for our federal clients. This role partners closely with development, testing, and security teams to ensure security controls are implemented in ways that are repeatable, scalable, and embedded into day-to-day delivery. This position focuses on how software is built, tested, deployed, and operated, with an emphasis on automation, resiliency, and clear ownership. While this role works closely with Security Engineers, it does not own security operations, monitoring, or compliance reporting.
This role is remote-first, with a preference for candidates in the WDC metro area, allowing for limited onsite customer and team interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated and secure application delivery
Implement deployment strategies such as blue/green, canary, and rolling deployments
Build and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Helm, or CloudFormation
Support containerized and cloud-native platforms, including Kubernetes and managed cloud services
Partner with Security Engineers to embed security controls into pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment workflows
Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and release processes
Improve system reliability, scalability, and recovery through standardization and automation
Integrate logging, monitoring, and observability tooling into platforms and pipelines
Collaborate with development teams to improve developer experience and delivery velocity
Document delivery standards, pipelines, and operational procedures to support consistency and auditability
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a federal Public Trust background investigation
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience
6+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud engineering roles
Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code
Experience supporting containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
Familiarity with secure delivery practices and DevSecOps concepts
Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Google Cloud
Experience supporting production systems in regulated or federal environments
Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
Federal government consulting experience
Clearance
The selected applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, if required.
