The State of Wisconsin is looking for a Systems Administrator II.
We are seeking an Intermediate Systems Administrator II with a strong background in remediating system vulnerabilities through effective patch management. The ideal candidate will have experience with various patch management tools and vulnerability management best practices.
Responsibilities: Ensure patches are tested, scheduled, and deployed securely and timely to systems. Collaborate with Information Security and Application Admins in assessing vulnerability remediation options and prioritizing patch deployment based on risk. Provide periodic reporting of the patch rollout status to Information Security to support timely patch validation. Recommend and implement strategies for effective and efficient patch management. Develop documentation related to patch management processes. Top Skills & Years of Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in systems engineering, including patch management. Familiarity with various patch management related tools, technologies, and processes, including iVanti, Microsoft Intune, Office 365 and distribution, and Microsoft Defender security portals. Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server operating systems. Nice to have skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills for documenting patch management processes. Interview Process:

Hybrid position, but candidates must be available to visit the Madison location when required. Must be a current WI resident. No relocation allowed. Candidates local to Madison or able to commute to Madison as needed. Security Required:
