Job Description Join our talented team at Oracle Hardware Platform Development Engineering as a Senior Embedded Diagnostics Software Developer. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to create innovative diagnostic tools that run on Oracle's advanced cloud, AI, and database platforms. These essential tools, integrated within BMC or UEFI environments, are crucial for testing server subsystems and identifying potential issues to enhance reliability and facilitate smooth deployment in Oracle's cloud infrastructure. Previous experience in developing hardware-centric tests and diagnostic tools is highly desirable. Assess system architectures and recommend diagnostic implementation strategies to ensure robust testing, scalability, and user-friendly experiences. Engage in platform definition, analysis, and bring-up processes to ensure seamless integration of diagnostics into the development lifecycle. Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams, including system architects, firmware developers, and validation engineers, to define and enhance diagnostic features. Integrate new diagnostic functionalities, fix bugs, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions to mitigate problems. Work closely with third-party component suppliers, partners, and internal teams—such as hardware/software development, quality assurance, cloud orchestration, and security compliance—to bolster system reliability. Guide internal Oracle teams on system diagnostics, failure analysis, and monitoring strategies to support large-scale cloud deployments. Assist Oracle Cloud and Support teams in root-cause analysis of hardware/software failures through lab replication, remote debugging, and comprehensive telemetry analysis. Partner with Oracle manufacturing teams to ensure hardware security and rigorous validation, meeting deployment standards for cloud customers.
