GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Systems Administrator/Desktop Support in Colorado Springs, CO. to provide support to end users on a government contract. The Systems Administrator will provide comprehensive technical support across systems, networks, hardware, and facility-related technologies. This role supports both internal IT operations and customer facing environments, ensuring reliable system performance, secure network administration, and high quality, end user support. The Systems Administrator contributes to documentation, inventory management, system maintenance, and compliance activities while partnering closely with facility management and other IT leaders.
Responsibilities
Administers and maintains the Meraki Wi-Fi network to ensure secure, reliable wireless connectivity; Assists with network administration tasks, including hands on support for Meraki equipment; Supports Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 compliance efforts through implementation, documentation, and control maintenance; Supports the maintenance and operation of audiovisual (AV) systems, including Team Rooms and conference room technology; Performs administration and maintenance of Cisco firewall systems to support secure network operations; Assists with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs); Provides frontline help desk support and assists users with technical issues across Windows operating systems; Supports Microsoft 365 applications and services, ensuring smooth end user functionality; Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues to minimize workflow disruptions; Participates in system deployment activities, including imaging, configuration, and rollout of new devices; Maintains desk side equipment such as monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and associated hardware; Develops, updates, and maintains IT documentation, including procedures, knowledge base articles, and configuration records; Tracks, manages, and maintains IT hardware and facility asset inventory to ensure accurate lifecycle oversight; Assists with rolling out and testing system changes, new configurations, and new product implementations; Supports the organization's vulnerability management program by helping with remediation efforts and related tracking; Provides assistance to the facility manager as needed, helping ensure smooth daily operations. Creates and maintains technical documentation to support network, security, and operational processes; Troubleshoots end user connectivity issues across network, hardware, and application layers; Maintains and supports end user peripherals, ensuring reliable device functionality; Maintains and supports the organization's printing solutions, including hardware and print management systems; Tracks, updates, and maintains IT hardware and facility asset inventory for accuracy and compliance; Assists the facility manager with operational facilities tasks as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or management information systems is required; At least five (5) years of industry accepted Information Technology (IT) experience is required; Active DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required at start. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility; IAT Level II (CCNA Security or CSA+ or GICSP or GSEC or Security+CE or SSCP) certification is required at start; Experience with Cisco Meraki solutions, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of Meraki wireless, switches, and security appliances is required; Ability to integrate Meraki solutions with existing network infrastructure is highly desired; Familiarity with the implementation CMMC, NIST 800-171 or other commercial regulatory compliance frameworks preferred; Azure certifications are desired; Proven hardware and software experience, including Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Adobe products, smartphones, printers, and out-of-the-box and proprietary software is required; Networking experience, including wired and wireless troubleshooting and basic VPN connectivity issues is preferred; Significant experience working in Linux and Windows operating systems is preferred.
