Job Description Join a dynamic team to provide top-notch Oracle Database Administration support across enterprise production systems. You'll collaborate closely with application development teams, offering services that include database design, coding, and ongoing production support. This position encompasses the full life cycle management of MySQL databases—from implementation and maintenance to troubleshooting and continuous improvement. You'll have opportunities to coach and mentor team members in database administration, migration, and support tasks. Cloud experience is essential, and familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle OCI Autonomous Database (ADB) is a significant advantage. Flexibility for on-call duty and willingness to work weekends and after hours is necessary, as is the ability to work independently as a self-starter. Key Responsibilities Provide robust production database administration support. Install and configure MySQL enterprise databases; facilitate data migration from other RDBMS to MySQL. Conduct database management, routine maintenance, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and security measures. Define and implement best practices, automate processes to reduce manual tasks, and generate comprehensive documentation. Oversee performance tuning, backup and recovery planning, and allocation of system storage to meet future needs. Work with both Linux and Windows environments, as well as OCI cloud-based MySQL databases. Create database-related scripts and evaluate new MySQL tools. Participate in on-call rotation; support after-hours and weekend activities as needed. Mentor team members to enhance their skills in MySQL administration. Salary and Benefits The salary range for this role is between $38.03 and $76.06 per hour, translating to an annual salary of $79,100 to $158,200. Equity options may also be available.
