Within the Identity organization, the Horizontal Frontend team is tasked with developing and maintaining the frontend components that support these essential user interactions. Our challenge is to create world-class frontend experiences that maintain low latency and high reliability, all while working alongside various cross-functional teams. What You'll Be Doing: Build and enhance frontend experiences for login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-user/multi-organization support. Contribute to the migration of primary frontend views to React Native, ensuring an efficient and unified codebase across platforms. Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance user interfaces using modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript. Collaborate with backend engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to transform product and technical visions into actionable roadmaps. Ensure frontend surfaces deliver low-latency, highly reliable experiences for a world-class user journey. Write high-quality, well-tested code to cater to the needs of Coinbase's expanding user community. What We Look For in You: At least 5+ years of experience in frontend software engineering. Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production-grade frontend systems. Expertise in modern frontend frameworks like React and TypeScript. A commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code for your customers. A passion for building an open financial system that connects people globally. Nice to Haves: Experience with React Native or migrating web views to mobile platforms. Experience working in a company during its rapid growth phase. Familiarity with authentication, identity, or security domains. Experience optimizing frontend performance for low-latency, high-reliability systems. Knowledge of cryptocurrency and interactions with blockchain services such as Ethereum.
