We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our operations in San Jose, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient and **safe** movement of goods throughout our facility. This includes loading and unloading shipments, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring materials are properly stored and staged. Your contribution is key to our **logistics** network. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and inspect for damage.
- Stage materials for production or shipping according to **logistics** schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all **safety** regulations and **PPE** requirements.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock location verification.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) safely and efficiently after appropriate training and certification.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material flow.
- Follow all **logistics** and operational procedures accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse position.
- Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent **lifting** of up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and the proper use of **PPE**.
- Familiarity with **logistics** and inventory management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance standards.
