About
Join our busy warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts as a Material Handler. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, focusing on the safe and efficient movement and organization of materials within our facility. We are looking for a dependable and physically fit individual with a strong understanding of warehouse safety and material handling best practices. You will be provided with all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are expected to rigorously follow all safety guidelines. The ideal candidate has experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks and can consistently lift up to 60 lbs. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting raw materials and finished goods, staging items for various departments, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of storage areas. You will also perform routine checks on equipment to ensure safety and proper function. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or internal transfers.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with stock checks.
- Ensure all materials are stored safely and appropriately.
- Operate equipment safely and perform daily inspections.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and utilize provided PPE.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs repetitively.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
