We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse and distribution center. This position is vital to our overall logistics operations, ensuring that materials are available where and when they are needed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, be physically capable of handling materials, and have experience operating relevant equipment. We require all employees to utilize the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and to maintain a constant focus on safety. This role involves significant physical activity, including lifting materials weighing up to 60 lbs, bending, reaching, and operating machinery. Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment is essential. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from storage areas, staging materials for production or shipment, and conducting regular equipment inspections. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is also a crucial aspect of this job. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stage materials for production, assembly, or shipping.
- Inspect equipment for safety and operational issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a must.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
