Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual looking for a challenging role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer in San Jose, California. This position is key to fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring our clients receive their products on time and in perfect condition. Your responsibilities will include reading order sheets, locating items in the warehouse, carefully picking them, and then securely packing them for shipment. Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace is critical, and you will be expected to strictly follow all safety regulations. This role is foundational to our entire logistics chain. You will handle a variety of products and will need to demonstrate care and precision in every task. The use of necessary PPE is mandatory. This job requires physical stamina, including regular lifting and movement.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Verify picked items against order slips for accuracy.
- Label packages appropriately for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and picking/packing area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Operate scanning equipment and other technology as required.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
- Utilize appropriate PPE throughout your shift.
- Contribute to the smooth flow of warehouse logistics .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity for lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety .
- Familiarity with wearing and using required PPE .
- Understanding of warehouse operations.
- Team player with good communication skills.
