We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Provo, Utah. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials and products within our distribution center. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and inventory accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse associates and supervisors to maintain a safe and productive environment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and experience in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Pick and stage orders accurately for shipment, ensuring correct item and quantity.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed, maintaining accurate records.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve departmental goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment is required.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, up to 50 lbs, repetitively.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following all safety guidelines, including wearing required PPE at all times.
