About
We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy logistics facility in San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, reliable, and possess a strong understanding of forklift operations within a warehouse environment. You will be responsible for safely moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This role is essential for maintaining efficient operations, ensuring the safe handling of materials, and supporting inventory accuracy in our logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all procedures related to the use of PPE and safe material handling practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, as needed.
- Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in logistics or distribution is a significant advantage.
