Join our growing team as an Order Picker in Houston, Texas! We are looking for motivated individuals to accurately and efficiently pick products for customer orders. This role is crucial to our logistics chain, ensuring timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction. You'll navigate our warehouse using pick lists and scanning equipment, selecting items and preparing them for shipment. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are essential, as you'll be on your feet for extended periods and may involve some Lifting. We emphasize a strong safety culture and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). If you're a proactive individual with a desire to contribute to a high-volume distribution environment, this is the opportunity for you. Prior experience in a similar role is a plus, but we are committed to training the right candidate. You'll work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and meet daily targets. Understanding warehouse procedures and a commitment to accuracy are key to success in this role. We value teamwork and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Read pick lists or use handheld scanners to locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or shipping areas.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient operations.
- Adhere to all company Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items.
- Wear required PPE at all times while on the warehouse floor.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in order picking or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Commitment to Safety practices and following all instructions.
