About
Our company is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Provo, Utah. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our warehouse facility. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping. You will operate various types of forklifts and other heavy machinery. A strong emphasis on safety, including the correct use of PPE and adherence to all operational procedures, is paramount. This position requires precision, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) to move, stack, and load/unload materials.
- Inspect forklifts daily for any safety issues or mechanical problems before operation.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse and loading docks.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory locations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, especially concerning forklift operation and PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Ensure that all warehouse areas are kept clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the logistics operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned when not operating a forklift.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid forklift operator certification and have at least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. Proven ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and prolonged periods of standing and operating machinery. Excellent understanding of warehouse logistics and safety procedures. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be 18 years or older.
