Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is looking for a motivated Material Handler to join our warehouse operations. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the movement of materials within the distribution center, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently from receipt to shipment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying quantities and identifying any discrepancies.
- Package and prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all **PPE** requirements and **safety** guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding material flow and potential issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle **lifting** of materials up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE**.
- Familiarity with **logistics** and inventory control principles.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
