Your responsibilities will include picking products from inventory, packing them securely for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. A meticulous attention to detail is crucial to ensure order accuracy and minimize errors. Maintaining a safe work environment is a top priority; adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be performing tasks that involve frequent lifting and movement of goods within our urban logistics hub. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Pack items carefully and efficiently to ensure they are protected during transit.
- Verify order contents against shipping labels and documentation.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including sealing boxes and applying labels.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and contribute to warehouse tidiness.
- Follow all established safety procedures and wear necessary PPE.
- Meet performance targets for picking, packing, and order accuracy.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks as required.
- Support the broader logistics team in achieving daily goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic reading and math skills required.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods in a busy environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
